Thumbs-Down: Products I Hated

Here’s a compilation of products I’ve given a “Thumbs-Down” (including some not found on this blog) and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Hair

Garnier Herbashine Hair Color (non-permanent):  Pasty/gunky texture, making it hard to blend.

Pantene “Frizzy to Smooth” Shampoo and Conditioner:  Makes hair look greasy, no matter how well you rinse it.

Salon Grafix Dry Shampoo:  Not very dry, doesn’t work well, smells like old-school Aqua Net.

Makeup

Sephora Waterproof “Kohl” Eyeliner:  It’s basically an expensive grease pencil.

Revlon Photo Ready Pressed Powder:  Very sparkly

Revlon Luxurious Perle Eyeshadow:  Not pearly, just sparkly.

Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara:  Makes lashes crunchy and spiky.

Essie White Bright Nail Pen:  Supposed to whiten nails.  Did absolutely nothing to mine.

L’Oreal Studio Secrets Pro Color Eye Shadow Quad:  It’s just cheap eye shadow with a fancy-sounding name.

Up & Up Brand Cosmetic Wedges:  Too spongy, causing makeup to soak in and apply unevenly.

H20+ Water Activated Eye Makeup Remover:  Definitely not worth the extra step, doesn’t work nearly as well as most other eye makeup removers.

Skincare

Pur Minerals Mineral Melt Makeup Emulsifier Wipes:   Oily, oily, oily.

Degree Ultra Clear Anti-perspirant/Deodorant:  Works fine, but it’s not clear.  “Little Black Dress Approved”, if the dress also has white in it.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil:  Feels and smells like a combination of olive oil and vitamin E oil, which you can make yourself for much less money.

Origins Zero Oil Instant Matte Finish:   Makes skin feel dry and tight, and makes it look kind of “chalky”.  Very expensive.

Nivea Extended Moisture Day Lotion:  Didn’t give “extended moisture” as promised.

Bath & Body Works Shea Cashmere Hand Cream:  Not great at moisturizing, feels diluted.
