Review: Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Mist

I recently picked this up to replace my uber-expired spray tanning product.  I’d rather just use a lotion, but it seems like using a spray on my legs (in the bathtub!) is a better idea…

Pros:   Suitable for “all” (hate that word when applied to beauty products!) skin tones.  Nice fragrance.  Paraben-free.  Comes out consistently.  Doesn’t look orange-ish.  Color stays after left to dry for an hour or so.  Lasts several days.

Cons:  Not good if you need to spray it into your hand for face application.  (It gets kind of foamy and splatters all over.)  The fragrance/fumes can get a little overwhelming if you’re not in a well-ventilated area.  Like all self-tanners, you have to be careful to blend it well and make sure you let it dry before crossing your legs, putting on clothes, etc.

In Summary:  I don’t see a reason to shop around for another spray-tanning product, unless there’s a less expensive one that might work similarly.  This one works well enough for my purposes.

Rating:  4.5 out of 5 stars
