Review: Fekkai Glossing Cream

Alright, this story starts the same way many of mine do:  I had a coupon.  This was on clearance.  It was too inexpensive to resist.  Blah blah blah.  Now here’s the actual review…

Pros:  Paraben-free.  Made in USA.  Available lots more places than it used to be.  Smells nice.  Moderate frizz control.  Available in a small size you can use for travel and/or purses.

Cons:  Fragrance is just a bit too strong.  Expensive.  “Highlights” hair in a way that makes it look slightly-less-than-natural.  In the case of my hair, this particular variety of shine kind of brought out colors that made it look like I was going grey in a certain type of light.  (eek!)

In Summary:  This works pretty well.  It’s not too heavy, but you do have to apply it sparingly to avoid the “greasy” look.  I like it.  I don’t love it.  Mostly, I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for it, because there are other products I like better that are less expensive.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Price: approx $21 for a 4 oz. bottle

Available at: Target, Ulta, some drugstores,,

Note:  The entire “Glossing” collection (8 oz. shampoo & conditioner,  1 oz. cream) is also available at Costco and for $29.99
